Here are swatches of my favorite eyeshadows.

Rose Gold:The star of the palette in my opinion! The perfect rose gold shadow! very warm and natural!

Dreamy Pink: I would describe this color as a neutral pink more on the brown and minky side.

Merlot: The perfect chocolatey plum color! Lovely on hazel or brown eyes in the crease!

Jane iradale lid primer, canvas, review, swatches, favorites, organic makeup, vegan makeup, organic palette

I love to use this Jane Iredale lid primer before applying the eye shadows. The primer brings out the true color in the shadows and helps the makeup last longer.

There are 3 different shades of the primers you can choose from. I chose canvas which is a neutral nude satin.

DIY Shea Butter Anti Stretch Mark Stick, pregnancy, stretch marks, shea butter, prevention

Hello my beautifully blissful followers! Today I have a special recipe which I being hugely pregnant at the moment have been enjoying alot lately!

As many of you know I was using an expensive oil by living libations with pretty promising claims that I wont get any stretch marks this pregnancy. The pricey oil did not work for me but this recipe I have put together of affordable and simple ingredients has kept the stretch marks at bay at least for now!

Ingredients:

40 Grams Shea Butter unrefined

10 Grams coconut oil

10 drops of lavender essential oil

I have found she butter to be the magical ingredient. I noticed it does not rub off on my clothes right away like most oils. It penetrates the skin deeply and my skin still feels moisturized hours after application.

I really enjoy using it in a stick form because its fast application and I dont need to get my hands greasy.

Here is a video tutorial on how to make it on my youtube channel.

Why Is It A Good Idea To Make Your own Natural Perfume?

Synthetic and Organic Fragrances can both be harmful in their own way. While organic derived plant oils usually only cause mild allergic reactions such as skin irritation, sneezing, and possibly a rash. The synthetic perfume industry uses chemicals extremely harmful rather it is a long or short term effect on the human body.

Benzene, aldehydes, phenols, phthalates, and so many more of these toxic fragrant additives are capable of causing Cancer, birth defects, and central nervous system disorders. This can occur by just smelling these ingredients, applying them to your skin is an even bigger issue!

So ask yourself. Would I rather risk a natural plant oil make me sneeze or increase the odds of developing cancer in my future?

Id rather sneeze thanks! 😉

Another great reason to make your own perfumes is because it is just so much fun!  I feel the perfume market is so boring, they only sell what people want to buy and I feel all the perfumes lack so much character. When you make your own perfume your true creativity and personality can be represented through your scent. You are unique, complex, and beautiful and NOT just another generic “techno living being” who smells like head ache inducing sugar and fruit!

My favorite thing about using plants and flowers for perfume is the health benefits. Essential oils are so beneficial, and not only for your emotional and mental health but your physical health as well. Nature is the expert when it comes to the power and beauty of scent. As human beings we are much better suited for natural fragrance because we are apart of nature after all! (I will talk more on the health benefits of essential oils in further posts and videos.)

Now lets get started!

What are you going to need to make your own perfume?

The main things you will need are:

~Some of your favorite essential oils

~Pretty bottles to store your fragrance in

~ A base oil or alcohol

Some bonus materials are:

~small vials

~droppers

~labels

~Recipe Book

Your perfume is entirely your creation and you can do what ever your heart desires. However Some things that are helpful to know when it comes to experimenting with plant essences is.

~Some oils are better suited for each other and blend better together.

~Essential oils are categorized into 3 different “notes” A top note, a middle note, and a base note. It can be helpful to have a variety of notes to add depth to your perfume.

Top Notes are the aromas that catch your attention first! They are the first thing you smell but evaporate the fastest. here is a list of essential oils that are top notes:

Middle notes are what I like to call the heart of the perfume as they add alot of character and depth

Now The base notes are the heavier and long lasting oils. They are the grand finale of your scent!

Now lets discuss what the best ratio of alcohol/oil to fragrance is:
15% essential oil to alcohol/ oil is a light body spray type of concentration
20%-25 percent is a good perfume ratio
30% is EXTREMELY concentrated.

The last thing you need to know to make a good perfume is that good things take time!
Let your creation develop. Place your creation in a cool dark place for about a month to let the different oils truly blend and become one with each other.

So that is pretty much all there is to it!  Get creative and have fun!

I hope you all enjoy the benefits I have experienced through making my own perfumes and if you have any questions at all dont hesitate to ask.
I will leave you now with one of my favorite quotes on fragrance:
“A thousand kinds of flowers, yellow jasmine, wild iris… I am composed of this beauty, the attar of pressed plants, rose oil, resinous balsam: live essence, I am the intelligent juice of flowers.” ~ Bahauddin, Rumi’s father

~Safe & beneficial ingredients!

I ordered a couple makeup items from their line but what really stood out to me is their Mascara in the color Black Berry!

This Mascara costs 21 Euros and it is worth every penny!  Not only does it lengthen lashes but it conditions and nourishes them using ProVitamin B5, Vitamin E, Oat and Wheat protein for healthy lashes!

When I was growing up using mainstream mascaras loaded with harmful chemicals; I hated what they did to my lashes and my eyes. I gave up on mascara because of the smudging and damage they had done to my lashes.

With the 100% pure Mascara I have been able to enjoy the look of fuller lashes without harming them! This Mascara is so easy to apply it doesn’t smudge or make my lashes look spidery. It is so comfortable to wear you wont think you have any on.

The shade that I have is Blackberry (pictures below) Its a really nice purple black but once it is on your lashes it looks black. Because there is a purple tint to it I feel it compliments my brown eyes very beautifully! They also have a black one and a blue!

The Mascara swatch is the one on the top of my hand!

My next purchase from this line is the Shimmery cocoa berry lip and cheek tint.

It is a cream stick that you can use as a blusher/bronzer or lip tint. It has a very smooth texture and sinks right into the skin. It looks so natural as opposed to most products that just sit on top making it hard for your skin to breath.

This product not only gives you a very natural and sun kissed flush but it is also so good for your skin as shea and cocoa butters are the base of this product.

The color is a very lovely berry chocolate as the name suggests!
